Pool Rules and Regulations
POOL RULES
- No pushing or dunking.
- No spitting or throwing of water.
- No running.
- NO GLASS CONTAINERS.
- Do not restrict flow of water from spray features.
- Do not sit on the spray features.
- No diving in shallow areas.
- No hanging on life lines or diving board.
- No conduct detrimental to safety.
- Obey the lifeguards at all times.
- No unnecessary conversation with the lifeguards.
REGULATIONS
- The lifeguards have complete control over all activities in the pool area, and their instructions must be obeyed.
- Unsafe behavior could result in the offender being asked to leave the pool area for the rest of the day. Pool privileges may be suspended for up to 48 hours by the lifeguards, and for longer periods by the pool manager or Board of Directors, for infractions of pool rules and/or regulations.
- Food is not permitted in or near the swimming pools. Trash must be disposed of in waste receptacles.
- Children not toilet trained must wear a swim diaper while in the pools. No plastic diapers are permitted in the pools.
- Small floating toys, rafts, rings, tubes or boards are allowed in the shallow end of the pool if not detrimental to safety and may be prohibited at the discretion of the lifeguards. ANY INFANT, TODDLER OR CHILD UNABLE TO SWIM MUST BE IN DIRECT CONTACT WITH AN ADULT IN THE WATER WHEN USING FLOTATION DEVICES. Large rafts, boats, etc. are not allowed in the pool at any time. Hard balls, such as tennis balls, may not be brought into the pool area.
- Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult or responsible baby-sitter 16 years or older. If the lifeguard determines the baby-sitter is not supervising the child satisfactorily, both will be asked to leave.
- Animals are not allowed in the pool area or to be left tethered unattended at any time.
- During regular pool hours, the pool will be cleared every hour for a 15 minute period. Adults 18 and over ONLY will be permitted to swim. An adult may take one non-swimming child 3 years or under into the water, but must remain in DIRECT CONTACT with the child. No children are allowed in the lap lanes during adult swim.
- Proper swimming attire is required - swim suits only. No cutoffs may be worn into the pool.
- Foul, abusive or excessively loud language will not be permitted.
- All users of the pool shall be responsible for damage to property of the District caused by their family and/or guests.
- Radios must be played so as not to be offensive to others. The lifeguards will determine acceptable volume levels. Failure to comply will result in loss of playing privileges.
- Bicycles, skate boards, scooters, etc. are not allowed in the pool area. Roller blades must be removed before entering the pool area.
- No person having an infectious or communicable disease or open wound is permitted in the pool.
- Smoking and/or tobacco products are not permitted in the pool area.
DIVING BOARD
- Only one person on the diving board at a time.
- Only one bounce is allowed.
- No flips or back dives are permitted.
- After going off the board, swim directly to the side and exit using the ladders.
- Do not swim under the diving board.
- Do not hang on the diving board.
SLIDE
- Only one person on the slide at a time.
- After going down the slide, swim away from the area.
- Do not swim under the slide.
- Do not hang on the slide.
BABY POOL
- The baby pool is for use by children 6 years and under ONLY.
- NO LIFEGUARD is provided for the baby pool.
- PARENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CHILDREN USING THE BABY POOL.
ID CARDS
- A Pool Identification Card is necessary to enter the pool area. Initial cards cost $2.00 each and are issued to each person in the household 10 years and older.
- Before entering the pool area, residents MUST SHOW THEIR ID CARD AND SIGN IN WITH THE LIFEGUARDS – NO EXCEPTIONS!
- A guest pass must be presented prior to guests being permitted to use the pool. Each household is issued one free guest pass per year. Additional guest passes may by purchased for $20 through the pool office. Each household is permitted up to 6 guests per day. Special arrangements for 8 or more guests must be made through Front Range Recreation (303-617-0221) for north pool and MPM Recreation (720-201-1758) at least 24 hours in advance.
- Lost ID cards can be replaced through the pool office for $10.00 each. Pool identification cards will be utilized for multiple years. If pool identification cards are lost before subsequent seasons, residents will be charged the full replacement fee.
