For the 2008 season:
M.P.M. Recreation & Management operates the swimming pool for the District. Group and private lessons are offered throughout the summer. Cherry Creek Vista Swim Team runs from late May through mid June. Be sure to check back to the web site for updates on the Vista Challenge Triathlon, and other fun Community events. The swimming pool is open from the Saturday before Memorial Day until Labor Day. People that live inside the Cherry Creek Vista Parks & Recreation District pay property taxes to the District, therefore they receive a discounted price on swimming pool membership each summer. If you don't live within the Park & Recreation District you can still become a pool member at the Out-of-District price.
Cherry Creek Vista Swimming Pool is located at 11350 E. Orchard Rd. in Englewood, Colorado. It is owned by the Cherry Creek Vista Parks & Recreation District. In 2004 the swimming pool and facility went under a $2 million renovation. It is now a state of the art swimming facility with four swimming areas. Features include:
*The main pool has an 8 lane x 25 meters competition pool that ranges from 4 ft. to 6ft. in depth.
*Adjoined to the competition pool is a teaching area that has a zero-depth beach entry that goes from 0-5ft. and includes a 6ft waterslide.
*The dive well ranges from 8-12ft in depth and has a 1-meter diving board and a 10-ft high double loop water slide.
*The baby pool has a zero-depth beach entry and goes to 2ft. It also has 3 water features that are time controlled.
Also included are a check in area, snack bar, oversized men's and women's bath/changing rooms, a separate family changing room, an enclosed party room and state of the art shade structures. Orchard Park backs to the pool facility, which includes a two tennis courts, a picnic shelter, playground and soccer field.
The Cherry Creek Vista Park & Recreation District owns and maintains 4 parks, right-of-way landscaping, and several trails which tie-in to the Cherry Creek Reservoir State Park Trail system, and the Orchard Pool. There are approximately 1850 homes and 6000 residents within the District.
